Meet the Cast

Toshi Toda - Kazuo

Toshi is Issei Japanese American.  Toshi is an actor for over thirty years and in over seventy movies and TV shows including, PEARL HARBOR and LETTERS FROM IWO JIMA.

Vivian Umino - Kaori

Vivian is Nisei and Sansei Japanese American. She is a graduate of the Yale School of Drama. She currently teaches filmmaking at UCLA.

Mackenyu Maeda - George

Mackenyu is Issei Japanese American. Mackenyu is currently acting on a television show in Japan and his feature film, TAKE A CHANCE will be out later this year.

Jordyn Kanaya - Akiko

Jordyn Kanaya is Yonsei Japanese American.  Her grandmother lived in the Santa Cruz area of California both before and after the camps. TADAIMA is Jordyn's first film.
